The Bloom EffectAndre Fraidl Overview

First practical field test · 2026

Could a natural stream
power the laser?

The purpose of this field test was practical: determine whether the available stream flow could generate enough voltage to activate the green laser.

The setup

From stream flow to electrical output.

Measured trials

The activation threshold was reached during trial two.

Trial 012.8 L/min

3.6 V generated

Laser remained off
Trial 023.2 L/min

4.7 V generated

Green laser illuminated
What this test established

The stream powered the apparatus and activated the laser. No water samples from this field test were analysed, so the test provides no evidence of a change in water structure.

Next milestone

A complete field experiment.

Planned by June 2027

A future stream trial is intended to include sample collection, analysis and transparent documentation, weather permitting.
